Reasonable adjustment:
If you need changes to how you’re assessed or how learning is delivered, we can help. Adjustments might include extra time, alternative formats, short extensions, or modified practical tasks. We’ll talk with you to work out what’s fair and achievable.

If something unexpected happens:
Illness, injury or misadventure can happen to anyone. If you miss an assessment, you can complete the Accident or Misadventure Form so we can support you through a new plan.

Study Resources

This section supports both new and experienced learners to build strong study habits and develop the practical skills needed for vocational training.

Preparing for:

Online Study
Make a Personal Commitment

Online study can be challenging, especially if this is your first time and you are balancing work, life and study commitments.

You may occasionally be tempted to cut corners or stop altogether. To help you stay focused, it's important to remember why you enrolled and what you want to achieve.

Write this down and display it in a prominent place as an ongoing reminder.

Set up your study space

As tempting as it might be, lying on the couch with your laptop while watching Netflix isn't a great way to study. Just as you would attend classes on campus, you should have a dedicated space to study at home.

Being in your study space signals to you and others in your home that you're in study mode. You don't need an entire office, but you do need a space that gives you the best chance of properly engaging with your studies. Your study space should be:

  1. Comfortable

  2. Free from distraction

  3. Fit for purpose

It’s worth paying attention to your setup. The kitchen bench might be fine for a little while, but over time it can affect your posture and lead to discomfort or even injury. It can also make it harder to stay focused and productive.
